Opportunities in the new Cornwall Development Company

We are seeking to recruit for the following posts

Bodmin Moor Livestock Initiative

 

The upland area of Bodmin Moor has been identified by the Regional Development Agency as an area requiring specific assistance to support its

red meat sector. 

 

Project Co-ordinator – Fixed term contract until June 2013

Starting salary £28,670

Location to be confirmed but will be in the Bodmin area

 

The Bodmin Moor Livestock Co-ordinator will be responsible for supporting the industry to develop a strategic action plan for the livestock sector on Bodmin Moor, secure funding for a range of projects to improve the competitiveness of the sector and ensure that livestock farmers on Bodmin Moor are best placed to benefit from national, regional and local initiatives.  The successful applicant will need substantial experience of working in the agricultural sector with a particular understanding of upland farming; experience of project development and / or project management would be an advantage.

Project Administrator  - Part time (0.5 FTE) 18.5hrs per week

Fixed term contract until June 2013

Starting salary£14,907 pro rata

Location to be confirmed but will be in the Bodmin area

 

The Project Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Bodmin Moor Livestock Co-ordinator and the Private Sector Steering Group.  This post will involve ensuring that appropriate administrative systems are in place to meet the necessary audit requirements of the RDPE regulations; minuting and organising meetings and events; maintaining a database; research to support the Coordinator in developing funding applications and preparing statistical data from which reports will be compiled.
