Key Projects for Cornwall

Cornwall Enterprise plays a central role in project development and securing funding for a range of key economic projects in the county. We provides consultancy, bid writing and monitoring services to a range of organisations applying for funds and have been extremely successful in achieving positive outcomes for projects.  

Since the launch of Cornwall Enterprise in 1999 we have secured funds for Cornish projects with a total value of £280 million.   Around £34 million of grants have been processed for local groups and organisations.  Broadband access is now available to 99% of Cornwall.  Over 20,000 Cornish businesses have been supported in the areas of ICT, broadband connections, inward investment or sector support and development.  Around 5 million visitors now come to Cornwall annually and we have had over 1 million individual users of the VisitCornwall website.   We also work with UK and overseas partners to develop successful partnership projects.  We have participated in several EU funded projects with European partners and we are providing best practice support to new and candidate EU countries.
